About

Born and raised in a multi-cultural/multi-lingual setting in Istanbul, Danae originally intended to study fine arts but got waylaid on the way and eventually “got hooked” on applied linguistics and language learning/teaching. She has designed and taught a number of tailor-made courses for banks, pharmaceuticals and other companies and organised special focus communication conferences for European professionals. Danae was a lecturer at the Department of International and European Studies, University of Piraeus.

She has worked as a trainer in Greece, Turkey and the Middle East and has been running PROFILE- Professionals In Language & Education, an approved Cambridge University ESOL centre for teaching awards, since 1993, and is course tutor for DELTA and ICELT.

She has co-authored and authored primary and early secondary series for Oxford University Press and Pearson/Longman. She is currently editing materials and conducting workshops and seminars for McGraw Hill in the Middle East.
